About this grant
These grants are specifically designed to empower and support impactful ministries within the Christian Church in the Southwest, and are only available for ministry within the United States and Canada.
We believe that each person has a unique gift and talent, and this is an incredible opportunity to make & difference.
Whether you have a passion for outreach programs, youth ministries, or any other area that touches hearts and lives. Together, we can build stronger and more vibrant church communities, reaching out to those in need with love, compassion, and faith.
Our Goal
The CCSW region intends to support growth within our congregations. Here are our grant (summary) objectives:
To support growth and creative “ out of the box” initiatives of local congregations
To make disciples. Engaging beyond our “walls”.
To move beyond charity to changing community
To increase our Disciples presence.
To ignite long term change.
How to Apply
To complete the application, you will need to provide the following information:

If you have received a CCSW area/regional grant in the past five years, what were the outcomes?
Provide a summary:
A summary of the ministry’s mission and goals that shows how your project meets the Impact Congregation grant objectives (max 2 typewritten pages)
Attend a Zoom Information Session:
We recommend the project lead attend one of the zoom grant information sessions.
We will add dates when new zoom sessions are scheduled.

The amount you are requesting, from $1,000 – $40,000

A detailed financial summary of your ministry/project, possibly including financial/banking documentation.
Grant Eligibility Details
CCSW Impact Grants are available for CCSW congregations, programs, and ministries affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada.
What are the areas that CCSW Impact grants will NOT support?
Individuals
Endowments
Capital improvements (i.e. construction, remodeling, building expansion)
Purchase requests (i.e. equipment or goods purchased without clearly articulated programmatic impact or expansion)
National ceremonies, memorials, conferences, fundraising dinners, testimonials, or other similar events
Elected officials
Congregations currently in a senior minister search and call
Non Disciples congregations or Non affiliated organizations
Projects outside of the United States and Canada

Deadline to Apply: February 21, 2025
Applications are being accepted for the Spring 2025 cycle from January 8, 2024, through February 21, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Central Time. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

All applicants will be notified of their funding decision approximately six weeks after the closing date via email and mailed letters. Funding will be allocated approximately twelve weeks after the closing date. Accepted grantees will be required to complete an impact report in the following months, including sharing a report about their ministry project with CCSW for promotional purposes. Failure to submit requested report/information will prohibit any further grants awarded.
