The Work of Reconciliation Is Ours Together

Greetings, beloved Christian Church in the Southwest siblings,

We are living in a time when silence is not neutral, and indifference is not harmless. The call to be an anti-racist church is not theoretical. It is spiritual. It is communal. It is urgent.

Since its inception, the CCSW Anti-Racism/Pro-Reconciliation Committee has worked toward our shared commitment to become an anti-racist region. We believe this work is not peripheral to the Gospel—it is an expression of it.

And yet, reconciliation cannot be the work of a few. It must be the work of the whole Body.

We are seeking volunteers from across the region who are willing to partner with us as we listen, reflect, and discern how we move forward together. Whether you have walked closely with this committee, have questions or hesitations, or have not yet engaged, your voice is needed.

This will involve a brief survey and, for some, participation in listening sessions or short conversations. We are not looking for perfection. We are seeking honesty. We are seeking a partnership. We are seeking the courage to build what we have said we desire.

If you are willing to stand with us in shaping the future of reconciliation ministry in the Southwest, please email me at traceytellado@gmail.com  for more information.

The work is before us. Let us pull together.

With hope and resolve,

CCSW Reconciliation Committee
