Prayers at the Table

What we do at the table each Sunday goes by different names: Communion, Lord’s Supper, Meal of Remembrance, Eucharist. We use these names interchangeably which to my way of thinking is OK. But, what happens if we stop and think about what each name implies? How might the themes of Christ’s presence, our unity with one another, our gratitude for what God has done, and our shared memory influence the things we say as we gather around the Lord’s Table.
