Church Camp at Disciples Crossing
It's time to begin planning for church camp at Disciples Crossing! Information packets will be arriving at local congregations very soon; however, you may also find a schedule with all the dates, a camper registration form, and the fee schedule by clicking on the links below. Camp Truth
Camp TRUTH (Tearing Racism Up by Transforming Hearts) is an anti-racism pro-reconciliation honors camp for high school youth. The camp is jointly sponsored by The Reconciliation Ministry of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and three Areas in the Southwest Region of the Christian Church (Northeast, North Texas, and Trinity-Brazos).
The primary goal of Camp TRUTH is to equip 60 teens with skills for reconciliation work such as learning to value and appreciate diversity, identifying root causes of racism and debunking myths associated with those causes, being allies in anti-racist coalition building, advocating for justice for persons in the margins of society, and to become change agents in the three co-sponsoring Areas as well as the Christian Church in the Southwest.
