Welcome to Our New Website!
Welcome to the new website of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest! CCSW is 435 congregations across all of New Mexico, Texas, the panhandle of Oklahoma and one congregation in Liberal, Kansas seeking to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the incredible mission fields where God has placed us. We are part of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), an American-born mainline church organization that places its core value in belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We live that out by celebrating together regularly around the Lord's Table to share bread and cup - welcoming all to share with us!
I hope you enjoy this website. We are grateful for the gift from First Christian Church, Lufkin, Texas, who imagined the possibilities, along with the work of Bill Anderton, an expert in network stuff and a member of Central Christian Church in Dallas, Texas, who made it happen.
We seek to reach out to those who are looking for a place to call home for their hearts and for their spirits. God is at work in amazing ways in the world around us - and we are challenged and delighted by the way in which God continues to lead us into the future!

Introduction and Demonstration of the New Website
The following presentation was delivered at 12:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Pre-Assembly Gathering of Clergy at the 2009 Regional Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest.

We have a surprise!
The Region has a new website!!
Working with Larry Ross of the North Texas Area and Mike Hunter of the First Christian Church of Lufkin, TeleWorship Corporation has developed and implemented a totally new website for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the Southwest.
Last night, at 6 p.m., we launched the new website.
What I’m about to show you is now publicly available all around the world and is serving visitors as I speak.
Here is a quick tour of what our visitors are seeing.

We hope you enjoy the new website and find it useful for enhancing communication in the Region.
To help you learn to use this site and its tools, TeleWorship has donated the use of our online education system.
We will be hosting weekly, live, online Web-based education you can attend from your home or office without travel.
Participation is free and all you need to attend our courses is a computer connected to the Internet and a Web browser.
To participate AND to get your Member ID for the Member section of the website, simply fill out the card like the one I’m holding and drop it in the green box or just hand it to me some time today.
We will e-mail your Member ID, instructions and the initial training curricula.
Also, we’re ready to start helping your church with our mini-sites and full websites as well as integrate your existing legacy websites into the upcoming Congregation Finder.
On the card, check all of the boxes where you have interest and we will begin following up with you next week with details.
